Perfect Hair Coloring Results

CAUTION

• Rinse hair well after application.
• Hair colorants may cause allergic reactions, which in rare occasions may be severe.
• Tattoos may increase the risk of allergy to this product.
• A skin allergy test should be performed 48 hours before using any hair colouring product, even by clients who have already used colouring products before.
• The product should not be used at all on clients having experienced any reaction to coloring products before or having a sensitive, irritated or damaged scalp. In those cases a doctor should be consulted before using any coloring product.

STRAND TEST
The Strand test is the optimal way to assess the perfect timing and color results and it should be performed before every application. Please proceed as follows:

1. Cut a small strand of hair (5 mm or 1/4 inch wide) from the area with the darkest hair or highest percentage of grays, cutting it as close as possible to the scalp. If the client refus es the cutting, you may section the strand close to the scalp and proceed as indicated, trying to preserve the surrounding area from being colored.
2. Tie the strand with the help of a rubber band or tape.
3. Apply the coloring mixture left from the Sensitivity test with a tint brush, carefully covering the hair strand.
4. After 15-20 minutes, wipe the product off with a paper towel and check if the desired result has been achieved. If not so, apply the coloring mixture again and check the strand every few minutes for up to 30-40 minutes (50-60 minutes when using the superlift series). In case of resistant gray hair it may be needed to time an extra 10-15 minutes.
5. Once the desired result achieved, record the development time, rinse the strand thoroughly and blow dry it to assess the actual final result. If this is satisfactory under all aspects proceed with the overall application.
